I Guess I'm a Liar

A few weeks ago Bridget was bemoaning the fact that we wouldn't have a white Christmas. I told her, "I'm sorry sweetie, where we live it just doesn't snow." Only a couple days later our "Arctic Blast" hit and I was proven wrong! Here are a few pics for my out of state family! They were taken after our first day of snow. I didn't get pictures of the second, third, fourth.....

View from our backyard.

Our shed.

Kids playing in the street. (What street?)

Poor old Jeffrey had a difficult time traversing the backyard.

Having a little fun with the snow. I made snow "ice cream" complete with sprinkles.

Party Times 2

Bridget's Party.....

The favorite gift-- a Nintendo DS from Nona and Papa.

This was my first year actually making a cake rather than buying one.

Avery's Party.....

Here's Avery's favorite gift--a baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Ballard.

Our Baby Is 5

Our Bridget Maree turns 5 years old on December 11th. What a joy she has been to us and we love her so much!

Bridget was proof that not all babies are born with blue eyes! :)

My Awesome Talent

After complaining for months about the rats nest that was once Avery's hair, I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to just cut her hair myself. I think I did a pretty respectable job for a novice hairstylist! Here's the finished product.
Bridget saw me taking pictures of Avery's hair and asked to have her's photographed as well.

Then she decided it was time to ham it up!

Thanks Traci!

My friend Traci has discovered she has a talent for making very cool cakes. She makes birthday cakes for all her friends and family and surprised me on my birthday with one of her yummy creations! It's not a secret that I love anything mint chocolate so she custom made an Andes Mint cake for me! It was delicious and I was sneaking bites for days!

Our Last Few Hours in Jamaica

With our plane set to take off for home just after lunch, we decided the best place to spend our last few hours was the beach of course! The water there was amazing. Like bath water.

Mr. Friendly chatting it up with a Jamaican "peddler."

Isn't this a cool picture? What a great view from the plane. We believe this is the Cayman Island but we're not sure.
