Great Wolf Lodge, part two....

Ok, still learning how to blog...somehow this photo ended up at the beginning instead of in the middle. Oh well.

Great Wolf Lodge has an amazing indoor water park. It's absolutely huge. The girls (and us) had a blast there. Day One--

The wave pool. We only spent about three minutes here. Both girls were hysterical with fear.

Just arrived and ready to go!

Patrick and Bridget on the tube slide. I was proud of her for overcoming her fear and trying this ride out. It was a fast ride! Once she tried it, she kept asking to go back!

The kiddie slide.

Silly girl.

Patrick at the end of the "Howlin' Tornado" ride with some random strangers I approached to go with him! (I'm not shy.) We couldn't go on this ride together because one of us had to stay with the kids. We decided next year to coordinate a Great Wolf trip with friends so the couples could go on some rides together!!

Floating lily-pads.

My cutie pies!

Every night the main lobby of the lodge has a storytime for kids. My girls loved it so much that they actually sat still! That's saying a lot! The tree and the animals talk and tell the story; complete with music.

Day two at the Lodge.

Avery giving luvs.

Excited to get swimming!

Great Wolf Lodge Cont....

One of the neatest parts of Great Wolf Lodge was the Magiquest game. It's sort of like a scavenger hunt that takes you all around the hotel. To play the game you get a "magic wand" and a clue booklet. The object is to complete certain tasks to earn Runes. There are 8 or 10 different types of runes and after you have earned them all you get to fight the dragon and become a Magi. I'm sure I've explained this all wrong, but basically it turned out to be a ton of fun for Bridget and Patrick. They spent as much time on Magiquest hunts during our stay as we did at the waterpark!

Bridget points her wand at different objects (there are probably more than a hundred throughout the property) and they talk back to her, light up, or open, as this treasure chest does.

A crystal that lights up.
Searching the hallway for Magiquest clues.
A picture that comes to life with a wave of her wand!

A scoreboard listing the top magiquest players. Bridget named her wand "Powerful." She actually came up with that name on her own! Pretty clever for a 4 year-old I thought!
Bridget and I had a special Mommy/daughter date at the Scoops kids spa. I treated Bridget to her very own ice cream pedicure! First she chose her ice cream flavor....they are actually soap balls that fizz in the water. She chose Chocolate.

Then she picked the vanilla scented foot scrub and the chocolate scented foot lotion.
Sitting in the banana split chair.
The foot scrub tickles!

Red toenail polish and then a sprinkle of glitter on top and a butterfly sticker.

The pedicure comes with a coupon for a free ice cream cone at the lodge sweet shop. It was hard to wait for the polish to dry!

Bridget and Patrick playing air-hockey at the arcade.

Avery coveting an Elmo doll in the machine.
Ski-ball.

Ok, here we are at dinner just before heading home. When we ask Avery "are you tough?" this is what she does. Then we all had to have our turn being tough!
Patrick tough.
Emily tough.
Bridget tough!
